I am building a new graphite bass rod. I want to change the rod's color. What type of paint do I use? How do I prep the rod blank? Do I use a sealer over the paint? And what else do I need to know about painting a graphite rod blank? Re: Rod paint

From this forum it was suggested to go to an auto body shop I paid 35.00 per rod and the look great. I was able to pick out some awesome colors.
I just hope I do not mess them up Re: Rod paint

I found Krylon Fusion works great if you can find the colors you want. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: Rod paint

I did the same as Dave; pink to match Pepto-Bismol antacid for a customers wife.

Do you use any type of protective coating over the paint itself? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
