Saltiga Ballistic adjustable balance weight butt cap

Does anyone know if you can purchase the adjustable balance weight that comes in the butt section of the Ballistic factory built rods? Have someone looking for this in a surf rod and likes the style on the Ballistics that you can unscrew and put in your pocket and add weights too.

I looked at the CRB weighted butt cap on MH, looks like weights are on the outside versus the inside of the blank. anyone ever use the CRB in a surf rod/heaver set up?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Matagi has a balance system that's quite nice.

You will need several different size balancing weights depending on how much weight you are casting at one time. A belt-pack to carry them comes in handy and prevents loss.

Shimano had one for the Tiralejo surf rods but they are out of stock on them now, not sure if they will get them back but you may be able to find some place who still has one in stock. It has been years since I sold one but I believe the kit they sell was just the weight themselves. The blank was threaded and the screw on butt cap that the weights attached to came on the rod. If you could get the weights It would be pretty easy to thread the blank but if you do not have a metal lathe you may have to have a machine shop fabricate the butt cap that is threaded on the outside to screw into the blank and than also threaded inside to accept the weights.

Try emailing Daiwa. They probably have them in stock. I got a replacement butt cap for my Ballistic from them.
