Anyone know if the black pearl REC guides are as bulletproof for corrosion as the regular ones?

I thnk I should get an award or some kind of a prize for authoring a request for advice that received zero responses! I've never seen that before.

Hello Michael.

I never used them but sense you want a response, merry Christmas!!!

Yuk, yuk, yuk,ha,ha,ha.

May I ask how long these guides have been out?
I(if I had used them) would not made an endorsement unless I used them at leased 2 years or if I used some testing techniques to speed up the assumed time(months at leased).

Good Luck.

Bob,

New Bern, NC.

I've used them on a couple of rods for over a year with no issues. I put them on the last rod I built for myself. Tired of breaking other guides taking them in and out of tube in the rod locker.

Have them on numerous saltwater fly rods. Look great, cast great and don't break.
