I ordred a fly rod building kit from Dan a couple of weeks ago so he is definitely still in business. He is no longer carrying the FT series so I asked if he had any spare tips (I have four FTs : 7, 5, 4, and 3 wts) and I was thinking my some extra tips just in case of an accident. He did not have any spare tips on hand for the FTs but he did say he could get one if a customer broke a tip. (BTW - I just checked Dan's site and saw some 9 foot FT blanks for sale so maybe he forgot to take them off the site or he found a few.).

I am building a rod based on the Blue River Series blanks and I think it will turn into a nice rod.
