I just found a 10' all-star fly blank...its a 1322-2. Looking for any information on this blank possible...bought it at the rod show back when it was in Charlotte and just found it in the corner of my shop. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/02/2014 09:24AM by Wes Christy. Re: All-star fly blank?

Wes, my old AS guide shows a BESH 1322-2, listed as a noodle spin. 11' 1/16-1/4oz, 2-8lb, slow, UL, 4.5 tip, .465butt. That's all I've got Re: All-star fly blank?

For a company in Texas, All Star made some very nice salmon and steelhead blanks. This was one of them, meant for light line steelhead fishing. You could build this into a fly rod and some CCS measurements would be interesting.
I did something similar to a 12' center pin float blank for a customer and it turned out quite nicely. Terry Re: All-star fly blank?

I can tell you the ALL STAR AUSTIN fly blank are very good blanks. And i can tell you this because i built some spinning rod using ALL STAR AUSTIN (TITANIUM) fly blank (w4,w5,w10) and i am very happy with this rods.Very sensitive and powerful rods.I live in Houston and i was buying this blank at ALL STAR COMPANY before the SHAKESPEARE bought this company and destroy the rod quality built now in China ,not in Houston. Thanks for all the feed back. Terry Turner, what weight was this designed to be thrown with as far as line goes...I was think of making it into a lighter saltwater, inshore flats type. Think that may work? Re: All-star fly blank?

Wes - I bought one of those blanks at the same show and while a lot of people thought they'd make good fly rods, one of the former owners of All Star told me that was a spinning blank, as Jerry mentioned. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
