I've seen other people share their 2D images of their designs they created using Visual Wrap. I can't seem to figure out how this is accomplished. I can't right click on the 2D image and choose save, for example.

Is there any other way to do this besides taking a screen shot and then using photo editing software to crop and save the image? I'm really hoping to learn a simple way like the right click and select save method, not something that is multi-stepped and complex like the screen shot method.

Hi John,

There is a snipping tool in Windows 7 :

It is very easy to use. When you launch it it allows you to drag a box around the image on the screen you want to save. You can then copy that cropped image to the clipboard and paste it wherever you want to.

There is another option. In the vizwrap Tools menu there is a "Save Image" option. This will save the Flat View window as a .vwi file. This file is simply a bitmap image. If you rename the .vwi to .bmp then you can open this image in other applications.

Thanks for the clarification on the ability to change the filetype of the image. I had tried that, but when I got the warning message I was worried I was about to do something wrong so I didn't try it.Can it be changed to a .jpg also?

No, the .vwi file is actually a bitmap file. If you want jpg the best option is to use the windows snipping tool. That will let you save the snipped image as a variety of different file types.
