Hello,
based on my research when you set up a vertical jigging rod using a spinning reel 10,000 or smaller the gudies are as follows, 30-20-16-12-10-10 tiptop 10. no most 5'4''-5'6'' rods. Why can't you go 30-20-12-8-8-8-tiptop 8 or 30-20-12-10-10-10 tiptop 10 ? Re: spinning build

No reason, Size, within reason, isn't important. Location is. Re: spinning build

Hi Ridge,
For my personal use I wouldn't be going above 8's and I'd be looking to get as much weight off the tip as possible. Jigging can be very tough and the more weight the tougher it is. I'd also be looking to see if I could use 6's if any knots would allow. ESFNEM Col Port Kembla, NSW Australia Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
