Can the U40 rod bond epoxy be used as an adhesive for X-flock heat shrink tubing on a rod handle? Any other alternatives? I just don't want to use solvent based glues for that. Re: U40 rod bond under heat shrink tubing?

Yes it can. It cures by chemical reaction, not evaporation.

If applying over eva, you can spray some 3M Super77 on the eva and then slide HS over and then hit it with the heat. Won't give that rock hard feeling. Re: U40 rod bond under heat shrink tubing?

Or
You can mix the rod bond and with a rag or even a paper towel Wipe the rod bond on The stuff is good and you only need a thin coat Plus you can adjust for a good look Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
