Hi guys, just a quick question... I'm looking for a place to buy some plate-type reel seats, but the kind with holes so they can be screwed in. I've been able to find them on a british website (Blak Dog), but nowhere else. Does anyone know of another place place to get these things? Thanks!

Devin

I have never seen them. I would like to find plate reel seats that are not raised off the surface of the handle, screw down or not.

I have drilled holes in Fuji plate seats but wasn't happy with the result

Here's the screw in ones I've found. Which work, just looking for something a little more 'Merica.

I do not understand where they screw. I have used many plate seats but have never seen one with a screw. Are you talking about using the reel coasters that screw to attach the plate seat?

I'm pretty sure those holes are standard in Fuji plate seats, at least on the larger sized models.

So I got my reel seats in the mail from the British site, and they did not have the holes in them like the picture showed. So I used a hole puncher to put a hole in it, and while there was definitely a way to screw it in, it bent up the edges somewhat. It worked though, and doesn't look bad, but I might try drilling a hole next time. I'll try to upload a picture soon.

Also, I'll just be ordering from good ol' American sites for now on

You can always fill the holes with some 5 min epoxy Then wrap

Just like guides The thread holds the seat on

or buy the Fuji
