Looking for blank to build. Fish in Michigan rivers in the fall for Salmon. Wade and fish from banks. Throwing spoons, plugs and sometimes spawn. Fish range from 10 to 30 lbs. What are you using or recommend? Re: Salmon Rod

Lamiglas XMG 110 2M or Batson Rainshadow XST 1085 are a couple that might work for your purposes. Re: Salmon Rod

Are you planning on making a spinning or casting rod? A blank from 8 -9' should work great for what you want. I prefer 9' to 10.6" myself. The longer rods allow for more control during the drift of the lure/egg cluster. Not going to make a recommendation as to the mfg of the blank since I have so many older blanks that I haven't bought or tried any new ones for years. Re: Salmon Rod

I'm sorry for not saying that it will be a spinning rod. Thanks for the help. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
