Grizzly has discontinued the HO777 drill they recommended for the lathe. I have a perfectly good Milwauke, but its collar measures 47mm. Grizzly says there lathe requires a drill with a 44mm collar. To anyone using this lathe; Is there any leeway? Can i squeeze the 47mm collar into the bracket. I don't want to buy another Drill unless I have to. Thanks for any info. Frank Willis Owensboro, Ky. I had to go to Sears and buy one that would fit. The good thing was it was pretty cheap...around $30. Re: Grizzly Drill Lathe H2669

I bought one at Big Lots that fit fairly close. I had to wrap the collar with masking tape a few times for a tight fit, but the drill will lock on at any speed. Works great. David Dosser Coshocton, OH Re: Grizzly Drill Lathe H2669

Try taking the chuck off the drill motor, putting the drill shaft through the collar and then reattach the chuck. It worked for me. Brad Miller Midas Custom Fishing Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
