Hi all. Thanks for the help on my daughter-in-law's breast cancer awareness-themed rod. It turned out beautiful and she loves it. Next, wanting to make a trolling rod for myself for kokanee and trout. A couple years back, you all helped me select a blank for my ocean salmon trolling, and I love it. It is a Rainshadow RDR86M. I am having trouble identifying which Rainshadow would be best for this light trolling but would also like your thoughts on a Phenix Elixer Ultralight FX701-2-B or FX761-2-B. I am really interested in a Phenix blank, but not sure if their *trout/panfish* line are okay for downrigger trolling.
Thank you for your time and thoughts, Sandra Re: Kokanee/trout trolling rod blank

I've had good luck with my rods built on the Lamiglas GFW 93 2UL G 1000 graphite blanks. Re: Kokanee/trout trolling rod blank

The same RDR series also comes in Kokanee sizes. The RDR 7L, 76L and 710LGB are all 4-10 lb rated, light power and great for kokanee trolling. Lamiglas' new CG802L would be a good blank to get as well. Both these rods have very light and soft tips perfect for kokanee flat line and downrigger trolling.

Thank you, so excited. I will look at the Rainshadow blanks because I love the one I have. I was at Shoff and Acid Rod and couldn't find them. I will keep looking.
