There was an article in RodMaker not too long ago that showed how to make them, and would suffice as a good reference for replacing them as well.

Should be really easy to do. Just deconstruct what is on there now. Cut or trim back the thread that is holding it, unwind, then unwind the leather strip. Remember the steps and just go back in the reverse order with the new stuff.

Ted the article covers everything from turning the cork too bonding the leather too setting the strip too binding the strips, all with a materials list and a source list for the materials needed.
