Neatly any thread will fade depending upon how much exposure to the sun it gets.

Hi Glenn,
I have used a fair bit of madeira, over a six year period. Some of the rods get a fair bit of use and don't show any signs of fading as yet. I have both light and dark thread in use even some yellow. They are stored in the dark at home. Seeing as the stuff is used on clothing that could be in the sun a lot more than rods it should stay reasonable but as Randy has stated any thread will fade if it gets enough uv's
