Hello,
I am rewrapping a sw967f to be used for some surf, breakwater, and boat fishing for striped bass and bluefish. 90% of the time I planning on using 15lb test mono, and no shock leader. The lures will be fairly dense offerings, bucktails, diamond jigs, casting eggs, etc. I am thinking of going 40-25-16-10-10-10 then 10 tip. The reel will be a daiwa bg30, a reel with fairly large spool. Thank you, Tim Re: Guide layout for short surf rod

I'd set up per the NGC and let the line path tell me what sizes to use. Or, you might try the MicroWave system. That would be pretty simple as well.
