I was wondering who out there makes custom fly reel inserts? I'm looking for a purple heart insert for a batson A7 skeleton. Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Jacob Burlison

If it's only one or two I could knock it out. if it's more then I'm sure someone will jump in here.

I'm only looking for one :) I'm just glad my wife finally decided what she wanted for a reel seat. We've been surfing the net for almost two weeks trying to find something she likes.

Nice choice for the seat.

My wife's sister's wood floors in her home are purple heart...wall to wall...

FYI: jacob, I picked up some purple hart at The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville, NC last week (In case you need a wood resource).
It's a nice wood that stands out because it's not overused. I built an eliptical and contrasted the purple hart with ebony & rosewood inlay.

I turn a lot of purple heart but mostly for pens with a bloodwood center band that I give away to disabled Veterans that have earned a Purple Heart.

Don't be surprised if the purple hue will fade over time to a rich brown.

i have lots of PH blanks that are brown and to get them purple again I set in a window sill after turning and in a few days it is purple again.
