I built (3) Large Musky (20-50lb) Casting Rods with (3) more to build. Client likes the look/applicability of the Drop Shot Hook Keeper, however, he is using large (12-15") spoons with large hooks and the standard size drop shot hook keeper just won't do. Is there anyone out there that makes an extra large (maybe 3/4") one?
Thanks, Charles www.forestlakerodcrafters.com Re: Extra Large Drop Shot Hook Keeper

How big is your hook? The Kigan XLA hookkeeper.accommodates hooks up to 6/0.

Charles,
You might consider the use of a #4 std wire fly "snake" guide. Large loop for hook but the snake sheds casting loops well due to it's geometry. Gene Re: Extra Large Drop Shot Hook Keeper

Tell him/her to hook it into the frame of the stripper guide. Problem solved!! Re: Extra Large Drop Shot Hook Keeper

Like Eugene I've used the snake guide for an easy on and off large hook keeper for over 20 years. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
