what length for long casting , spinning?

hi guys. i want build a bobber rod for steelhead, with long casting abilities num 1. spinning. i would like to use the microwave system.im not sure what length i should use. can be say 6 to 12 lb line. and would probly like to keep it around 1 oz setup. thanks Re: what length for long casting , spinning?

Lamiglas XMG 114 2M or Batson Rainshadow IST1144F would be blanks to consider. Both are 9'6'' and make good long distance spinning bobber rods. Re: what length for long casting , spinning?

thanks i will look those blanks up. and it will be used from shore and would like to keep the lure wt to one oz or so not to sure about one hand or two lol Re: what length for long casting , spinning?

Any time you are going for any sort of distance, always cast two handed. A lot more distance and control with two, rather than one hand.
