Rodmakers Magazine?

I was interesting in maybe taking the Rodmakers magazine but in a post on another rod forum I saw where the owner of the mag had said on a blog that the delivery rate of his mag is only about 50 percent? If this is so is there any guarantee that I would get more than half the copies I pay for? This has me concerned. Do most of you get your mags?

The folks that posted that were, and are, severely lacking in reading comprehension skills. If you were to go back to the original magazine blog entry where I discussed postal delivery success, you'd see that when I mentioned a 50% delivery rate I was talking about overseas mailings (which was one reason I discontinued overseas subscriptions) not the overall total bulk mailing.

You wouldn't stay in business very long nor amass a standing circulation of over 14,000 subscribers with a 50% delivery rate.

The delivery success of domestic subscriptions is 98+%, which I think is pretty good. The USPS always loses or damages a few, which I am always happy to replace at no charge to the subscriber if it was through no fault of their own (failure to file change of address, etc.). Lost or damaged magazines are always replaced for the subscriber on my dime.

Hello Paul.

I have all butt the first one and have never missed one except when I forgot to renew, I did have one torn to shreds by USPS and Tom sent me a new one free.

No problems with the magazine.

I too have evry issue which was out to the public,(All but the first Two) I have never missed an issue and also had one tore up by the mail mans kids. Tom replaced it with in a couple of days.

Tom goes out of his way to get things done right and on time.

This is a magazine a true rod builder should not do with out.

I have had a subscription for five years and never had a issue go missing. The breadth and depth of the article topics is amazing. It is not just thread wrapping or weaving. The articles go way beyond to all kinds of topics and techniques. I would not know where to begin to list all the things the magazine has brought to light and covered. It is years ahead of its time and a great help to all the rod builders.
