The microwave guides come in two ring types, Nanolite and Duralite. What is the difference in these materials? I can't seem to find an explanation on the AmTac website. I figured posting here would give me the best and quickest answer. Thanks

Has anyone used these micro wave guides do they cast as nice as all the articles or is a bunch of hipe?

They are awesome, they go on 90% of my builds, once most people cast them they have to have them.

Anyone had issues with Braid and Wind Knots. I filled my reel with 10# Power Pro Super Slick and was throwing a 1/4 oz jig heads w/ 3'' Gulp Shrimp and had to go to a rod with heavier line to stop the knots. Diff rod was not MicroWave so I am not sure if it was the line or the guide that caused the problem. Anyone else use light braid on their Microwave?

I have used light braid, light mono, heavy braid and heavy mono with no issues.

I had knots getting in my braid which was the bait turning on the retrieve So I put a swivel on No more knots

Here are some actual hardness numbers. I have never had any guide groove from any kind of line I've used, including a lot of braid. Tip tops, yes, old cheap ones on factory rods. I put premium material tiptops on and select the guides based on other design characteristics like corrosion resistance and appearance. I really avoid the fat, dull grey, rings as they really detract from the looks of the rod. To me the appearance of the finished rod is important, and I'm often led to premium guides, too, which results in SIC, Zirconium, and nanolite rings. My fishing fresh water and is not that demanding on the rings, not like having a tuna take a few hundred yards in a run.
