Fuji "K" Guides

I have built quite a few Surf rods ,but this will be my first time using Fuji "K" Guides (TKWSG 40mm-12mm). And my question is do you need to turn the butt guide around (backwards) as you do when using fuji lowriders

Barry, I built myself an 11' CTS vapor trail 3-6 0z this past March using "K" guides. My first is a 30mm facing foreward all out to the tip.I'm using braid on a Okuma RAW II 65 spinning reel. Pushing Hopkins and big surface bombs outta sight. I have to look for the splash. No tangles, ever in the guides.
I have never reversed a butt guide so, I couldn't say if it matters or not.

Barry,
I would think that with the terrific slant of K guides that reversing the butt guide would completly defeat the purpose and function of the guide.

Facing with the slant in the direction of the moving line, allows any wind loops or tangle to easily slip off the loop and on out the rod.

Be safe

Roger; I thought the same thing ,but was not sure. I thought I saw a photo of a surf rod in use with the guide reversed,as in the low rider layout. Will be placing it facing foward
