Bamboo appraisal needed

I just got a call from a fellow that has an old fly rod from his grandfather. He's looking for an appraisal and possibly wants so sell the rod. I don't have any experience with the bamboo side of things so I'm looking for someone here that may be able to help him.

I don't have any details regarding the rod itself, just his contact information.

If you can help please email me at chad@huderlecustomrods.com and I'll provide his contact information.

Thanks,
Chad Huderle

Hi, Chad,
David Gilberg is involved with a fly fishing organization (and museum?) in New York State. You can find his email address by searching his name here.
I'm sure he can lead you in the right direction. Good Luck!

The classic fly rod forum is a great place to start.
There are also some very reputable online sellers of bamboo rods who will give fair appraisals
and even sell the rod for you on consignment.
The one I would recommend most highly is Len Codella.
