Need a blank that is close to a Fenwick 1870. Needs to be in honey color to match the same was looking at Lamiglas MB84-1E-H or MB84-2F-H. Need some advice because well this blank was before my time and need to know which of the two would be close to the 1870. thanks wes

The Fenwick 1870 blank was a live bait blank. Here are the specs for the Fenwick LB-1870 blank: Seven foot, fast action, medium power, line test 15-40, lure wt. 3/4-3 ozs.,.833 butt size and a 7 1/2 tip. I still have the eight foot version of that blank that I use every winter light surf fishing. They were great blanks. Try to find a blank with those specs if you can. I have a Lamiglass MB84 rod that I use more as a popping rod than as a live bait rod for surf fishing. The MB might work; I just don't remember the specs right off but mine is brown in color.

I just checked the specs on the MB84-2F H and they come close to the 1870. I think that is as close as you will come to matching the Fenwick in a seven foot rod glass Lamiglass blank. Another thing that you have to consider is the color. I believe the Lamiglass honey color is a bit darker than the Fenwick gold blanks.
