Would you say that Flexcoat liter build will dry faster than the high build because it is thinner and can release more air quicker? Re: flexcoat lite build

I've never timed it, but I think the cure or set-up time is similar. Re: flexcoat lite build

Epoxies don't "dry" they cure by chemical reaction so thickness doesn't come into play.
However, these two product versions may be formulated for a different set and cure times, so your best bet might be to ask someone at Flex Coat. ........... Re: flexcoat lite build

And for the same reasons Tom stated, releasing of air has nothing to do with curing time either. Re: flexcoat lite build

I'm a threadmaster user and their light build takes a lot longer to set up than the hi build, don't know about flexcoat..
With your cp and epoxy application don't be in a hurry or you''ll end up being disappointed. I also leave cp for 24 hrs before applying epoxy. ESFNEM Col Port Kembla, NSW Australia Re: flexcoat lite build

Great question, Chad.
Flex Coat Lite and High Build cure at the same rate. We recommend rotating for 2 hours and give it 24 hours before fishing. Flex Coat Company Professional Rod Building Supplies www.flexcoat.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
