They shouldn't be for that price. $190.00 plus shipping, over $200.00 for a part that doesn't work correctly. Try making a fishing rod for someone that doesn't work right and see how much business you get. Just my opinion!! Re: Clemens wrapper part?.

It works as designed.

Should have been designed better then. Re: Clemens wrapper part?.

I'm sure they can put the drill or live center parts onto a regular rod support base for you.

i'm sure it was deisgned as well as it could be deisgned. out of the hundreds of people who bought the lathe with the attachment, you're the only one who complains about it not designed right. perhaps you should design your own, find a machine shop to machine it according to your specs. I think this has run its course. Renzetti is sending him one that will do what he wants it to do.

Ridge, I have been using 2 Clemens/Renzetti lathes probably since before you were born!! I never had a complaint before now. Re: Clemens wrapper part?.

Not my intent to further any argument but in decades of using and being around lathes of all types I have never seen one where any sort of tailstock could be slipped over the bed. All require you to install them from the bed end which I think is a safety concern. Steady rests, like what we call rod supports, can slip over the bed, but not tailstocks. Re: Clemens wrapper part?.

Randolph, I did receive your email with the pictures. They were very helpful, thank you. The bad news is my bench top is very narrow, too narrow I think for this thread carriage to fit. Bummer.
The lathe should get here possibly tomorrow or more likely Monday. I'm excited to get it, even if I have to figure a different thread holder option until I save up for a new one from Renzetti. Thanks for y'all's help. Re: Clemens wrapper part?.

Kevin, the bench in the pictures is only 24" wide and the bar on the carriage can be adjusted for length. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
