What guides should be stayed away from for use with braid up to 30lb.?

Lynn, I may be wrong but, any current FUJI guide from Anglers Resource would be safe to use with braided line due to the fact that they all have ceramic inserts.
The tip/top is the guide that would show the first sign of wear.

Braid won't hurt guides, it's the sand, etc. that gets in the braid over time that damages guides.

I have used some factory rods with pretty cheap looking guides for years (take them to Canada rather than beating up my nice custom rods) and have never had braid groove a ceramic insert guide. I've had tiptops groove, and have had tiptop rings break (probably from banging them onto the boat), but never a guide. Personally, I don't like the looks of some of the cheaper rings, that dull looking gray on a fat ring.
