Hey Guys...
Am thinking of building up a rig for smallies here in Indiana and want your opinions on blanks, please. This could also double as a steelhead rig I suppose as we get a nice run up north in the Fall. Thanks, Re: Center pin fishing for river smallies

The Lamiglas SSH 114 2L or 2M would serve you very nicely. I have made dozens of center pin rods on these blanks, and use two myself. light enough for Smallies, but enough guts for steelhead. Re: Center pin fishing for river smallies

Thanks for the recommendation! Will give the Lamiglas blank a try. Re: Center pin fishing for river smallies

Another question, Randolph... how would a 9-10' steelhead blank differ from a 7, 8, or 9wt fly rod of the same length? The reason I ask is that I've got a 9.5' 9wt fly rod that I don't use and am thinking I could replace the seat/grips and maybe reposition the guides of necessary.
Thanks! Re: Center pin fishing for river smallies
