What they're referring to is that it wasn't very long ago that an event like this for the rod building craft was considered an impossibility. To maintain it at this level for 10 years has impressed other factions of the general fishing industry. Rod building is a comparatively small craft - even compared against something like fly tying. You don't just announce you're having a rod building show and end up with something like the Expo. Others have tried and found out the hard way.

Hi John,
I travelled from Australia to attend the 2013 event and I can say it was well worth the cost to get there. Apart from all the components on show the best reason to go is to meet up with a lot of the rodbuilders you meet on forums like this one. I was blessed to meet up with plenty. Apart from that the host is a "top bloke" and the Friday night reception is a must!!!
Do whatever it takes to get to next years Expo, you won't be disappointed.
