Randolph,
Have one of the neighborhood kids come over and do a video of you wrapping the trim wraps on their phones. It seems that even 6 year olds can handle the phones that I still have not mastered myself. Roger Re: single thread trim band

Roger, I am going to have my wife video tape the procedure as soon as she is able. She is with her brother at Hospital until this evening. I will do a single, triple, and triple with and inlay. Re: single thread trim band

The only single thread trim band I find in the library is in the article titled "narrow trim bands and thread inlays" and it is an inside single thread trim band. I think the subject here is an outside single thread trim band. Am I missing it in the library?
By the way, for 2 thread and up outside trim bands the nail knot, with practice, is easy, reliable, and looks great. I find a tool like a straw or paint brush handle works better than the finger suggested in the library. I don't understand comments that indicate otherwise. Re: single thread trim band

Here's a video of a process that is pretty simple and uses no pull through. But the single thread ends are overwrapped securely.

Hello Michael.
Your youtube post is about the same thing as the posting in Rodbuildingforum.com in Thread Work, then 8th from the bottom or 16th from the top on the right side. Tight Wraps. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: single thread trim band

My wife video taped my method last night, but my right hand was in the way too much of the time, so we will give it another try tonight. Got too late for a second attempt last night. Re: single thread trim band

I use the same technique as the Rodbuilding Tutorials -

I put the trim thread about 6 - 7 threads in from the end of the main wrap Also two pull loops
Finish the main wrap One pull gone Then do the trim and pull it under and trim all ends Bill - willierods.com Re: single thread trim band

Hello Jay.
What Bill said. P.S. Use your toothpick to keep the start and the finish butted up-against each other while pulling the tag threw. Bob, New Bern, NC. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/30/2013 01:23PM by Robert A. Guist. Re: single thread trim band
