Last weekend fly fishing club ( The Wild Trout Flyrodders chapter of FFF)
held the first of what we plan to be an annual Casting Rendezvous
at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum in Livingston Manor, NY.

One of the events was a lecture on the use of technology for casting instructors.
it featured the use of a FREE application called Ubersense.

This enables one to analyze video images in minute detail and in many ingenious ways.
You can overlap images to see precisely how they vary.
You can view them side by side.
The video can be slowed incrementally down to a single frame progression as well as still images.
You can even mark points on the still images and connect them. The resulting angles are shown.
This last feature would work great for running Common Sense tests to show the Action Angle.

The App was demonstrated from an iPad but it can also work with iPhones as well as non Mac systems.
While there are other apps with similar features the instructor indicated that Ubersense is the best of the lot and is FREE.
