off set rod handles

I was thinking about trying an offset TN handle(Steve's Hot Handle) and was wondering if you guys ever run into problems with guide height? Seems like on a short ultralight it would be hard to get a tall enough guide, even with match guides using the NGC. I know this sort of thing is really popular on ultralight to light equipment, but what about light inshore rods? Thanx, as always just trying to learn.

Ok thanx Steve. If I dont need the room to put hot hands in the handle, is the Hot Handle more sensitive than the Vibronics Handle? What is your favorite shim material for the latter. You can email me if you had rather not say on here. I really appreciate everyones help, and have a great deal of respect for everything you stand for.(read some of your interview with Batson maybe?)
