Hi all,
I just wanted to introduce myself. Im Alex Ramirez. I am getting into rod building to first build the rods I always wanted and then to use that experience to build the rods everyone else wants. Rod building is going to be a hobby for me now but it would easily fit into my product line up. Either way im currently researching my first build a light action spinning rod with a split butt paired to a nice saltwater high retrieve rate 6-10lb test reel. The goal is to go after some line weight records in the IGFA with the rod. I love chasing big fish on 6 and 8lb test. Ill be asking for yalls input and direction as I creep along on this build and I look forward to hearing all of your input and opinions. Tight Lines!!! Alex R. Edited 1 time(s). Alex- I am in Cibolo/Schertz area and am also an fairly new rod builder. Happy to get together sometime and share information and help each other get better. This is a great site for help and info also. Building your own rod is very rewarding, especially when you land your first fish on it. Feel free to contact me at your convenience.
