Tip Top Question

I'm building a bass rod with smaller REC guides and I noticed the tip top is much larger than 4 top guides I bought that are size 4.5. I bought the smaller REC guides to increase accuracy and also to be lighter, but I'm worried the larger tip-top will eliminate the accuracy that the smaller guides provide. I need the tip top to fit a size 4.5 but with a smaller diameter ring (4.5 as well). is this something that is out there? or will the larger tip top not reduce the accuracy that much?

Thanks!

It won't have any effect on accuracy.

There are many options for you. Look at the tiptops on this page. These are just the Fujis, I'm sure Amtak and PacBay and Batson all have micro tiptops in chrome finish that will look good with the RECs and will eliminate any questions about performance of a too big ring. [www.mudhole.com]
