What's your favorite/easiest way to get the last bits of gunk/fingerprints off without hurting rod finish/finishes? R/B Re: Cleaning finished blanks

Once the wrap finish has cured, not much will hurt it unless you really overdo it. Some isopropyl alcohol followed by a spray and wipe down with Behold or Pledge is how I usually handle it. Do make sure the finish has had a few days to cure. ................... Re: Cleaning finished blanks

Hi Robert, I have a rod building business and I use a product called "Wet". Wet is put out by EAGLE ONE. It is an automobile polish that leaves the blank absolutly free of fingerprints etc. For me, it serves several purposes. It makes the rod extremely bright and brilliant, has fluoropolymer with ultraviolet inhibitor and puts a coat on the rod that helps prevent scratches when bumped against. Additionally, it leaves no scratches. It is also easy to put on and take off. I get my supply at Kragen auto parts. Good luck. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
