well,a while ago I had a guy that wanted a camoflauge colored 8' boat rod for use on cod and haddock. I got some interesting feedback from this forum, one guy said not to clutter it up with too much camo, but no one got really specific how to color the blank,so here's what I did,I had some Krylon camo paint in spray cans so I let her have it with three colors done in large splotchy areas, then Iet it dry overnite, then I brushed permagloss on the rod while it was turning in my lathe with a 3/4"brush,the permagloss dissolved some of the paint and blended in the colors while coating the whole thing nicely, came out looking really nice-after it cured I gave it a 2nd coat ,voila-happy accident Re: happy accident

Hi Frank,
It's not that difficult especially if a low tech old fart like me can work it out. Size is the biggest problem. You just have to keep making them smaller if they don't load. The software with a digital camera makes it pretty easy to do it. Takes a bit of time to get them done but not difficult. Be aware that you need a seperate login and password for the photo section. I'd also like to take a look at what you've done. ESFNEM Col Port Kembla, NSW Australia Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
