I bought a few blanks and a vintage rod while in the Santa Barbra/Santa Maria area and was curious about the vintage one. I've done a lot of looking on the web and I'm guessing it is a Sabre, but the rod says D770 DuPont Nylon-Epoxy Nypoxy Max Line Test 52 lbs. It has a wood rear grip and a cork fore grip. Any info would be much appreciated

IS IT EXTRUDED ? I'M THINKING ITS SOLID NYLON THAT HAS BEEN EXTRUDED (pulled thru a die) DUPONT MADE SOME NYLON RODS FOR DIFFERENT COMPANIES WRIGHT & McGILL( Eagle Claw) WAS ONE OF THEM SEAFORD DELAWARE WAS ONE OF DUPONTS NYLON PRODUCING AREAS IT MAY HAVE COME FROM THERE ? I HAVE A PAIR OF NYLON BAIT-CASTERS THEY START OUT RECTANGULAR AND GO TO ROUND THEY HAVE GOOD "BACKBONE" BUT LEAVE A BIT TO BE DESIRED AT THE TIP (brittle)
