what im asking is it worth the time to pick them up and put them out for sale?. is there a market?. or would it be just more work than its worth. just wondering Re: reel parts

My vote would be too much work for the return. Re: reel parts

I'd contact the local reel-repair guy and see if they would make an offer for the lot. Let them do the work and haul it away. Re: reel parts

Todd, if these parts are for quality reels like, Penn, Carl Newell, Fin-Noor, Shakespear, etc. then grab them while you can!! You can always recycle what isn't worth saving. Re: reel parts

Should you have any, Newell reels and Newell reel parts are valuable. Don Becker Re: reel parts

I've listed this exact same stuff on fleabay before with great succcess. You would be amazed at what people are searching for out there. Any idea on the brands or types of parts? One of my side gigs is reel repair and restoration. Re: reel parts

Don't let them go to the landfill!!!!!! Reel parts are always needed. Offer them to a repair shop you may get a few bucks for them if not give them the parts. Somebody somewhere is always in need of repair parts.

There may be someone near you that doesn't advertise, but if you call around to some tackle dealers they may be able to put you in touch with someone they are familiar with. Around where I live we have 1 guy who advertises in the phonebook and does official repairs for a couple big name reels, but I also know of three others who don't, they just do word of mouth repairs as a hobby and would love to have access to a large cache of parts. While many parts like spools may be proprietary, many others like screws, washers, bearings, clips, etc. are standardized parts that can be used on many brands of reels. Re: reel parts

Can you please contact me. I own a small business located in eastern N.C. I do reel and rod repair and build custom rods. E-mail me eprodandreel@gmail.com. Even if the parts are over ten years old there are some parts that interchange with newer reels. If you are going to the expo in Winston-Salem I will be helping out in the Fuji booth E.P.
