The solids from the bottom of a jar of common Testor's paint will work. So too will ground up chalk. Or TAP powder pigments.
You'll never get an opaque coating with Permagloss so it may well be the ideal thing for what you're wanting to do. It tints more than it colors. ............... Re: permagloss tint

I just finished a fiberglass blanking the same manner using FC lite. I used anautomotive paint tinting color for DuPont chromobase. Mixed directly into epoxy( no extra hardeners) till I got the effect I wanted and wipe thin on using a lint free cloth or sponge brush. Head to an auto paint supply store or your favorite body shop for the tinting base. Do not use tints for water base paints and always mix up a sample batch to make sure it doesn't react with each other.
As for durability hopefully someone else can help out with that as this was the first blank I attempted this with. Re: permagloss tint

I used some green pigment from Sherwin Williams. The pigment was free! They sold me a can to put it in (a couple of bucks). It makes a nice transparent finish and mixes well with the PG. Extremely durable-PermaGloss is tougher than epoxy, and meant for use as a blank finish. George Forster Fort Collins, CO Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/06/2013 08:01AM by George Forster.
