I have accumulated a large quantity of custom rods I've built over the years. Most are prototypes, some of which have been fished, some never fished. There are fly rods from 2-wt to 12 weight and spinning rods of all lengths and lure weights. I need to free up space and I'm tired of looking at these rods, which I'll probably never fish with again. I don't want to give them away either but do want to "move them" fquickly at a big discount. Anyone have ideas of the best and most efficient way to acheive this? Appreciate all comments!

Depending on where you live, Craigslist may be an option, or you might try having a well-advertised garage sale. However, I would probably get in touch with my local Trout Unlimited or other fishing club, and offer them as raffle prizes, tournament prizes, or donations,

Spring sporting good shows are coming up.
Go to your favorite local dealer who is going to the show and ask them to sell the rods for you on commission. That way, if they are willing, you won't have to pay for booth space. Possibly you would work a deal with them to use a corner to have your rods displayed and for you to work that corner of the display.

The way to sell the rods is to get a big audience. Sporting shows give you the audience.

Donate them to the Boys and Girls Club of Beaufort. I have the contact if you want it. Tax deductable and you would get full value for the donations.
