come to the show in February. Morris Schlessinger is demonstrating and he is the best instructing turner i have ever met. He is a great guy and you can learn from him whether you are a beginner or have been turning for years. Re: wooden handles

Hi Thomas,
Winston-Salem, North Carolina on the 23rd and 24th of February. See the link on the top of the left for details. It's good enough for me to travel from Australia for a two day event and it will be worth it!!! If you can get there then have a look at what JP Timberlake does with grips, not bad at all!! Thomas,
Just be warned...it will cost you! $$$ I stopped by Morris' booth for the 1st time last year...I wasn't interested in the past... and now I am an 'lathe-addict'. I was fortunate to have someone at my local church give me an almost new midi-lathe...but I made up for it purchasing all kind of 'stuff.' for it. Come to the show. You won't regret it... even if only to watch and talk with Morris S. Larry Re: wooden handles

Thomas, looks like you are getting enough help per the above posts and you won't do much better then Mr. Wilson, I suggest you take full advantage of his skill. I will offer up my email also if you happen to have any questions. Good luck and you will find it quite enjoyable to begin manufacturing more of your own components. Re: wooden handles

thanks for everyones help. I will be starting a woodturning course this next week to learn the basics. I'm not quite sure about boring the thru holes in the handls wherer they need to be bored before the turning or after. and how? but I'll get to that after i learn some basic turning.
