I am looking to build my first bass rod on an MHX blank and was looking at the MB843 rod as a multi-purpose casting rod to throw texas rig and spinnerbaits ..etc. Can anyone who has experience wioth this blank compare it to a custom rod in action so I can lay my hands on one to get a feel? Reason I ask is I currently throw the Abu Garcia Veritas rods and although I really like them, the "medium heavy" is considerably stiffer than ALL other medium heavys I have felt in Loomis, st croix... etc. so I had to go to a medium in the vertias. I just dont want to order and have all shipped and find out its not really what I want. This will be my first or many so I wanted to start with a very common rod and action. Chris -- The MB843-MHX is a true, med-hvy rod blank. It is one of the best all-purpose rod blanks out there. Builds into a very versatile rod for bass fishing. Bob McKamey Mud Hole Custom Tackle bobm@mudhole.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
