Please use it on some scrap piece first, there is a small learning curve and so many make the mistake of using it on a finished rod without trying it first and then complain that it is no good. Squirt it right out of the bottle onto your wraps, on the first coat just use enough to soak the threads, spread as you do normal finish let rotate for about an hour and then you can use a heavy coat for the second coat and so on. The only way to get rid of any bubbles that occur is to pop them. I use a small straw and blow them out but you can pop them also with a toothpick or similar object. It is an excellent coating and will give you much satisfaction, but as with other finishes practice makes perfect.
Thank you for trying our coating and enjoy. Scott Parsons Scott Parsons 919-900-8998 [www.roddancer.com] [www.fishhawkthreads.com] Re: threadmaster one

CP is there to protect the color of the thread. If you don't need that protection, then you don't need it. Re: threadmaster one

Bob, Yes i have.
used powder paint to stain it. It sets up ok too early to tell about effects of sun etc. I have it laying out in the yard with other stuff i am testing. Not a finish i like for marbling, i get the effect i want from applying heat to an almost set area of TM lite. That causes it to flow and give me the patterns i want: like a single drop of milk in a lightly stirred cup of coffee if that makes sense. You cannot apply heat to TM1 it skins over and underneath it never dries out properly.Goes milky and stays that way. You can tint individual areas. But some folks like a more blotchy type of marbling effect than I do so it could work for them. Or a layered effect where each thin coat carries a tint in an area , that would work too. Sort of 3d effect. Get a scrap of blank, a kids powder paint set and have at it, you may get an effect you like and it will cost you around $10 at a saturday of tinkering. I like it on repairs and wraps/feather work i want never to yellow. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/13/2013 09:55AM by Lou Auret. Re: threadmaster one

Hi Scott,
I just got done with a 7 ft . Spinning rod with the new A.T.C. micro wave guides. I used npc A threads, all went well , used Threadmaster One ,all went well ,2 coats did the job, love how well it went on , had no trouble with bubbles. Let rod dry for 3 days in a warm room next to a heat vent .Now I had to try my baby out before I showed her off, all went well ,then out of the North came a cold rain ,so to the dock I went, got wet ,new rod set on the deck for the ride back, when I went to put the rod up in the rod box I see all my wraps turned cloudy white, soft ,and a little sticky to the touch, I got home put the rod in my rod room to set until I had time to work on it ,when I came back to look at it to see what I could do to fix it ,the milky white had gone the sticky was gone too. WHAT happened ? is it something I did? other than that I .love to work with it .Any help will be appreciated, I'm just glad it did not happen to a customers rod after the sale. Again Scott thank you for you'r help. Richard Curry Linegeabber Custom Rods Maysville, Ga. What is life without fishing ? Re: threadmaster one
