I recently used Pro Kote high build for the first time, the resin was so thick it was difficult to draw into a syringe even after warming just wondering if this is normal.
Thanks Larry Re: High Build

Larry,
When you have this problem, use a syringe that has a larger hole in the end. Then, it is easy to draw the material into the syringe. I use a rather large syringe for mixing up rod building epoxy. This is a very thick epoxy. To use, I have syringes that are about 1 inch in diameter. I cut the tip of the syringes off, and drill a 1/4 inch hole in the end of the syringe. It is very easy to draw up equal parts of part A and part B, of this very thick epoxy with this large syringe, with the large hole in the end. Good luck Be safe Roger Re: High Build

I had the same problem, I couldnt even draw anything. I emailed MH and was told to warm it in water to get rid of that. I havent tried it yet. I warm my epoxy in water usually anyways, but this was so thick I was concerned, so I stopped "My biggest fear in life is that when I die, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it." here's an easy way to measure epoxy from a squeeze bottle....I have done this for years and it works for me. I take bottle "A" and squeeze a line on a postcard size card(like the free ones you get inside almost all magazines)...then I take Bottle "B" and squeeze a line the same diameter and the same length as I just did with bottle "A". presto...2 equal lines of epoxy...the longer the lines the more epoxy...then I just use a scraper to join and mix,,,doesn't hurt to warm em up,either Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
