Todd, They sounds pretty good on paper. What are the actions on these blanks? Since they are high modulus I'd guess that they are faster, but can you confirm of deny this? Also, can you give a retail price range? Thanks, Rick rkoontz@andrew.cmu.edu Re: Lamiglas Appalachian Travel Blanks

Rick, these are a very finesse type of rod. Moderate action with a price range of low to mid 100's. Todd Re: Lamiglas Appalachian Travel Blanks

It's so hard to articulate rod action in any sort of objective way, but from what little fooling around I've down with the 7'6" 4wt so far, I am very impressed. The rod is buttery smooth, delicate, yet has some punch. I cannot WAIT for the spring thaw to take it out fishing. Lawn (actually snow) casting is one thing, but on-the-water is where any rod proves it's worth. From what i can tell, I expect to be very pleased with the Appalachian's performance. I test casted a 6'6" 3 wt in the swimming pool at the Rodbuilders Guild Conclave & ordered two Applalachian blanks. Just picked them up this week & the bare blanks feel great. Can't wait to get them built up and on the water! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
