Is there any way to put a quick disconnect link in the cord to the foot control? I am wanting to make my wrapper a little easier to move around if I need to clean up my area ect. Just looking for a way to make the wrapper a little more portable/easier to store.
Thanks Re: American Tackle Power Wrapper Foot Control

Mine has standard gauge 120 volt lamp cord. You should be able to pick up a female receptacle and a male plug (repair parts) at any hardware store - cut the cord where you like install the female / male connectors and off you go. Re: American Tackle Power Wrapper Foot Control

You will need 2 male and 2 female. Make it easier, put a male/female on dryer lead, male female on the foot lead. The other added perk of this is you can disconnect the foot, connect the pos/neg on the dryer side, and operate the dryer using the switch only (basically you are cutting the foot off the loop).
Makes doing rod finish a lot faster and easier. You flip the switch and the rod turns. You aren't kicking the foot along, etc as you work your way up and down the rod. Use twist lock cord caps, you have to twist them to secure the connection. This way they won't come apart to easy or won't come partially apart leaving exposed live blades. Just be sure to install the female side on the side the power is coming from (line side). And the male side on the other (load) side. Re: American Tackle Power Wrapper Foot Control

You can also get Elliptical Srink Tubing from a Home Depot And after the connections are made slide it on and heat it to secure the connection Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
