Berkley 6' medium heavy action

I have a rod which needs the tip and one guide replaced. The thread which was used from the factory is a somewhat dark brown / maroon color. The rod appears to be several years old. Did Berkley use a standard color when wrapping guides? Im trying to match the color and am not sure how to go about doing so.
any thoughts???

You'd have to specify which model Berkley is it. Berkley has built dozens and dozens of various models over the years, each with a different thread color.

Check out different color charts from suppliers listed on the side. The colors will vary from manufacturer and also from dye lot to dye lot.

Any finish that you put on will also darken the color slightly.

Yeah I was hoping to avoid a guessing game but I knew it would be a long shot that anyone would have wrapped this exact rod. Figured it would be worth a shot.

Berkley has sourced its rods from overseas for a long, long time now, so it's doubtful they use thread made here in this Country. Thus matching a color number would be tough.

Take a look at the back side of the thread you removed. This will give you a truer indication of the original color which might help if you're forced to match by eye.
