I have not fished Lake Erie, but Lake Michigan yes. Depends on technique - but a Batson ISB720 makes an excellent all-around perch rod. Thanks - Marc Keep it simple - that's all I can handle! Re: Lake Erie perch rod?

Take a look at an ISJ781. I've only been on Erie a couple times perch fishing, but if I were to take a rod and go now, that would be it. The rod is low enough in power to make the perch enjoyable to catch, but has enough backbone to handle larger fish in the open water.
