Hello all.
What are people's thoughts on both the fast set and normal Pro Paste? How does it compare to Araldite? Is the quick set stuff really as strong as the standard? Thanks, Mark. Re: Pro Paste

The regular Pro-Paste (used to be called Pro Bond) seems to be the same product as Rod Bond. I've used both and see no difference. Both are excellent in all respects, and do what epoxy is supposed to do. Regarding the fast set-I used the fast set Rod Bond only once. It seems fine, but since I'm never in a big hurry building rods, I just use the regular stuff most of the time.
Araldite--don't know what it is to make the comparison. Drew Re: Pro Paste

Same here as Drew with the relation to Araldite.
ProPaste is good stuff. I use both, the fast set and regular - never had a problem with either and they set hard. Re: Pro Paste

Hi Drew and Fred,
Araldite is an Aussie two pack adhesive that's been around a long time. Was about the only one available when I first started building and have been using it ever since. Never had any bond break that I have made with that stuff on a rod. The only improvement would be if they released a gel/paste version. Never used anything else so can't comment on any comparisons.
