I would like to appologize for calling anyone who claimed to invent or develop the Thunderbird wrap a Liar. I went back through my old issues of Rodcrafters Journals and in the March-April 1979 issue, I found pictures of the Thunderbird that were made by vern Franz. He developed the Thunderbird. Period. At the same time, a little before, or even maybe a little after I developed my Eagle wrap. Both wraps while somewhat similiar were totally different. His were all squared off and didn't have an eye. My eagle, had an eye, beak, fanned tail with large extended wing and primary feathers, etc.
I wish to appologize for this to all of you. Two similar but different wraps developed 1000 miles appart at basically the same time. I have never met Mr Franz, but would have loved to have had that opportunity. He did beautiful work and had many inovations to his credit. Hope he is still alive and kicking.
