Hi everyone just needed some suggestions with finish. I have been using tape on the ring side anyone have any other idea's when it comes to putting the finish on at high speed. I use cp on the wraps, So no epoxy build's up in front of the guide foot. Re: Applying finish on the guide ring side

Hi Gabriele,
I find it easier to stop the rod when applying finish in front of the ring on small guides and use a small brush for that purpose. Find one that your happy with and save it for that. Some guys have posted about using tape and usually have a problem when removing it as it causes the finish to move about negating what they were trying to use it for in the first place. You'll also get better with practice, keep at it. ESFNEM Col Port Kembla, NSW Australia Re: Applying finish on the guide ring side

If you are trying to get just a dab into the tunnel in front of a 1 ft guide, try sharpening in a pencil sharpener the end of a plastic brush handle.
It will allow you to "drip" just a drop right where you want it. We use it on all guides now, even 2 ft, to neatly put just a bit right at the tunnel opening. Doing it first, before rotating the rod. One of the reasons I think permagloss is better, another is I never have had a permaglossed guide come out of a wrap. Re: Applying finish on the guide ring side
